Soloro - Lusitano Stallion

Soloro - One Spirit Ranch Lusitano Stallion

2003, Dun Lusitano Stallion

Aproaching 15 hands
By Saphiro - a cremello Lusitano stallion
Out of Panache - Lusitano mare

Profile:

Soloro is now three years of age. He looks Portuguese, sporting lovely movement with plenty of extension and slight suspension. He is not yet very tall – approaching 15 hands. He has a nice sloping shoulder and a respectable Lusitano head that is not overly convex. Graceful and quick, he moves like a cat. He is very sensitive and responsive, yet loving and social as well. He reminds us much of our border collies in temperament. We purchased Soloro from Regan Ranch and have not once regreted that decision.

Offspring:

His three foals are impressive. Two carry the dilute gene: a palomino and a silvery dun. The bay colt has a very nice neckline. Two of the three, also have nice suspension, and superb athleticism. For more information on his wonderful 2006 Azteca foals we have for sale click here.

Lineage:

Soloro’s sire Saphiro is a beautiful cremello stallion imported from Germany. His Grandsire, Umbaba, was ridden in dressage by Luis Valenca of the Portuguese school of equestrian art, and was the 1983 National Portugal champion, and the Golega Horse Fair Champion in 1981 and 1982. Soloro’s dam Panache, a Lusitano mare, is mostly Andrade and CN breeding, with a touch of Viega lines. Her Andrade breeding returns twice to the famous stallion Yacht, a son of the Andrade founding sire Principe VIII.
